salsa jars
so many volcanos
waiting to erupt
awaited eruption
a bot of salsa
leans forward
salsa
all filled jars
are like volcanos
volcanic rush…
trying not to spill
the salsa jar
from the bottle
fresh salsa spills
hot lava

Dear reader(s), I would like to introduce to you a new series in regards to my workplace observations. And let me tell you that there are many observations to be had in just one daily shift. Keep in mind reader(s), that I can work anywhere from eight to twelve hours in just one day. To many, a twelve hour work-shift is nothing. To a 41 year old who has just returned to the workforce after nearly a twenty-year medical hiatus, these hours are brutal, especially to my feet and sometimes, swollen ankles.
Pueblo, Michigan is half of a full truth. I am not going to inform you, reader(s) of my exact working location, but I am willing to say it is in the state of Michigan, obviously as the title implies. And like any workplace of this world, this place has its daily dramas, tantrums and other lively forms of visual entertainments that could be enjoyed by some and or make disgusted by the others.
To avoid legal issues, not that there should be any legal issues, this eye-witnessing observer is changing names and or deleting them completely. I too shall use metaphors when possible to explain my observation(s). Now keep in mind, that some events shall be modified to avoid any exaggerated experience (though not much by the stretch of the human understanding) or perhaps just the opposite to show some levity and or brevity of an experience endured.
If you are still interested in my daily activities, I ask you to follow along of this new series. Note also that not all these experiences or activities had shall be posted the day of. My work-hours are long, my energy wanes. Still, I am hoping to share this part of my life with you.
Sincerely,
Madasahatter

Topic of Haiku – Dandelions & Sunshine
sinking sun
when the dandelion rises
amazingly straight
dandelions—
still some stars remain
grounded
late dandelions
the sunlight reaches
one after another
winter dandelions
standing askew
shining, shining
hot sunrise
May dandelion
upright in a breeze
rising sun
through blades of grass
blooming dandelion
starry night
dandelions bend at an angle
wherever they bloom
plucked dandelions
the light of stars
starts waning
dandelions
so many stars fallen
from the sky
What is time to the working servicing class? What is enjoyment of the mass consuming horde? I do hope you, dear reader(s) are enjoying these little delights as much as I have relish in creating them. 😉
full moon…
it is a lump
of cooked rice
upon a dinner plate
crooked moon…
a bag of rice
boils
moon viewing…
floating slowly
a bag of boiling rice
boiled eggs
being scooped
phases of the moon
phases of the moon
I add croutons
to the salad
snowflakes…
between baby’s fingers
cooked rice
April snow
cooked rice squeezed
in baby’s hands (7a)
warm snow
squeezed in baby’s hands
cooked rice (7b)
avalanche
a service dog eyes
spilt milk
spilt milk
rushes down the bottle’s edge

Oh, the poetic things and creative epic events one can observe while working 12 hours or more during a busy weekend shift. As a reflection of my weekly work schedule, lets say that time truly is but a blur when the world about you is rushing by in serving foods, packaging foods and finally, consuming foods to oneself and to others, obviously. 😉
gazing at
a lump of cooked rice
full moon
snowball
a lump of cooked rice
in a baby’s hands
snowflakes
a split bag of rice
spills over
full moon—
white dinner plates
being piled up
moon viewing—
boiled rice rises
then slips down
dinner plates
being piled up…
moonrise
full moon I pour a cup of milk
full moon to eat a boiled egg
