RAIN

In the early morning, while the sky is dark with rain clouds, a young child gathers her small flowers drenched in dew. Upon her braided crown rainbow droplets crash down. Ancient trees are unfurling their aged branches towards the sun. Meanwhile, other tree giants in a child-like manner are throwing fits of jealous rage shaking their muscle-bound branches. From outstretched black fingers, wet crystals are tossed everywhere. Startled birds have taken flight. In a state of frenzied laughter, the young ballerina begins her dance. All around her butterflies have taken flight, fluttering soft wings, anointing the child dancer in diamonds.

SEA CLIFFS

a flower fragrance

a rainbow of clouds

CROSSROADS

reaching for the sun
lotus flowers bloom from the mud
old pond changes

deep silence
even deeper as the nightingale starts to sing
beautiful life

the song of nightingales
transcend spatial boundaries –
a world that no man can see

deep into midnight
these muddy flowers transform –
snowy confection

along the edge of the pond –
sometimes touching

SUN’S REFLECTIONS

icicles hanging
at the gutter of the old mansion
sun’s reflections

fading into outer space
reverberations of sound

this cold winter night
laying naked under my quilt
feels like summer

caress of nimble fingers
for the pleasures of the flesh

snowdrops blooming
waving goodbye to Winter
nearly Spring

in the sequence of seasons
identified color schemes

Narcissus
in love with his reflection
vainglorious guy

admitting his own vanity
intelligent but naive youth

light of ember
mysterious shadows on the wall –
a cool summer night

the faintest stars are visible
indecisive grey area

messenger of heaven
circling high above my head –
re-thinking my life

suffered the consequences
because of selfish actions
